MITCHELL

Mitchell is located in south central Mitchell County, two miles north and two miles west of Osage.  The Cedar River is the western border of Mitchell.

The Mitchell Dam is a hydroelectric plant that produces much of the electric power in the county. Located on the Cedar River, it creates a great park for boating and camping.
