Osage is 30 minutes east of I-35 on Highway 9, 30 minutes south of I-90 on Highway 218 or 10 minutes north of US 18 on T-38. Osage also has an airport that serves much of their travel needs.

Osage has been deemed the "City of Maples" due to numerous maple trees that line the streets. Osage is the home to 3,450 residents, and is also the county seat for Mitchell County.

The Osage School district meets the communities educational needs. With a Community College just 30 minutes away in Mason City.
